International Doctors Cricket League (IDCL) 2025 Kicks Off Today!
In one hand, they hold the scalpel inside the operation theatre; in the other, they raise the national flag high on the cricket field. The white coat and the team jersey—both worn with equal pride. To save lives and hit sixes in the same lifetime is no ordinary feat. But for doctors, it’s a powerful reality.
Today, July 22, 2025, marks the beginning of a historic global sporting event—the International Doctors Cricket League (IDCL)—where healers from around the world unite on the pitch. Organized by the International Doctors Cricket Council (IDCC), this T20-format tournament is the first of its kind, aiming to create an international platform modeled after the ICC—dedicated solely to doctors who share a passion for cricket.
With the inspiring motto “Care for the Carers,” IDCL is not just a game—it’s a movement. A tribute to the resilience, dedication, and sportsmanship of medical professionals worldwid.
Bangladesh Takes the Field with Pride
Flying the flag for Bangladesh, the Doctors Sports Club- Bangladesh and the Bengal Tigers step onto the field not just as athletes, but as national ambassadors of compassion and courage. Among ten international teams, they are ready to represent the nation with unmatched dedication—both in saving lives and scoring runs.
Tournament Details:
Dates: July 22 – July 26, 2025
Venues: Multiple grounds across Sri Lanka: FDG Sports Complex, SLIDC Ground, SLLDC Ground, DHS Grounds, and DHH Ground.
🏏 Format: T20 | Each team plays 4 group matches | Top 4 move to the semi-finals.
